1. Non-Clinical Use & Disclaimer

Pill Pantry is a household inventory and organization tool. It is **not** a clinical medication adherence, diagnostic, or treatment platform. We do not provide medical advice, dosage recommendations, symptom tracking, or drug interaction checks. For any health or safety questions, always consult your clinician or pharmacist.

2. Information We Collect

We collect and process your information in the following ways depending on your app configuration:

  • Local Inventory (Offline): By default, your inventory details, locations, stock levels, custom reminders, and consumption logs are stored strictly on your device using local database caching. This information is private and is not sent to our servers.
  • Account Credentials & Sync: If you optionally create an account to back up or sync your inventory, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. Your shelf data is securely synced to your private account.
  • Inventory Photos: If you capture photos of inventory items or packaging, they are stored locally on your device. For signed-in users, these are uploaded to a private storage bucket scoped to your user account. We do not publish or make these photos public.

3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal data. To run core app features and support the free version, we utilize select third-party services:

  • Google AdMob (Advertising): For free-tier users, we display banner ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may process device identifiers, IP addresses, and mobile advertising identifiers (such as GAID/IDFA) to serve advertisements. These ads and associated tracking are disabled for Pro users.
  • RevenueCat (Subscriptions): We use RevenueCat to process subscription purchases and manage Pro features. Purchase validation is handled securely via the App Store and Google Play Store.
  • ML Kit (On-Device Text & Barcode Scanning): Text extraction and barcode lookup features are processed entirely on your physical device. Video feeds or image bytes are not uploaded to remote cloud servers for scanning.
  • Supabase (Backend): Secure user account authentication and database hosting is managed via Supabase.

4. Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your health-adjacent data seriously. All synced database rows are protected by database row-level security (RLS) on Supabase, which guarantees that only your authenticated account (`user_id = auth.uid()`) can read or write your records. Transmissions are encrypted in transit using secure HTTPS protocols.

5. Data Retention, Export & Deletion

You have complete control over your pantry data. The app provides the following self-service tools inside the Settings menu:

  • Export: Download your complete pantry data (locations, items, reminder rules, logs) at any time as a structured JSON file.
  • Delete All Data: Purge all local storage keys, cancel scheduled notifications, delete database rows, and remove all uploaded photos from private cloud storage.
  • Delete Account: Permanently delete your user profile and cascade-delete all synced databases from our servers.
